Research Interests:

How does an animal's nervous system decide which movement to make for each situation the animal encounters?  We address this question with the help of the turtle spinal cord.

A postdoctoral position is currently available (2016) in my laboratory to study individual types of behaviorally specialized vs. multifunctional spinal cord interneurons electrophysiologically.
