Research Interests:

How does an animal's nervous system decide which movement to make for each situation the animal encounters?  We address this question with the help of the turtle spinal cord.

June 2022: We have a funded graduate research assistant position for   in vivo calcium imaging of multiple turtle spinal neurons during fictive behaviors. Email ari at ou dot edu for more information.
